Complaints

Complaints about a service

If you are unhappy with a service provided by one of the brands in the Family Legal Ltd portfolio, raise it with that brand first. The people who delivered the service are the people who can put it right, and they will have the detail of your case in front of them.

Each brand publishes its own complaints procedure on its own website.

Complaints to Family Legal Ltd

If you have raised a complaint with a service and remain unhappy with the response, you can raise it with Family Legal Ltd through the contact page, choosing “Corporate enquiry”.

Complaints about family mediation

Family mediators work to the professional standards set for family mediation in England and Wales, and each mediation service publishes its own complaints procedure. Raise a complaint about a mediation with the service that provided it first.

If your complaint concerns the conduct of an individual mediator and you are not satisfied with the response, the body that authorised that mediator operates its own complaints process. The mediation service will tell you which body applies and how to contact it.

Complaints about a solicitor or barrister

Where work was carried out by an independent solicitor or barrister, that professional is subject to their own regulator, and a complaint about their professional conduct is dealt with by that regulator rather than by Family Legal Ltd.
