Family Legal Ltd wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a screen reader, who move around a page by keyboard, or who need to enlarge text.
What has been done
- Text and background colours meet or exceed the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast requirements.
- Every part of the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
- Focus states are visible and are never removed.
- Headings follow a correct order on every page.
- Link text describes where the link goes rather than saying “click here”.
- Links that open in a new tab say so to screen reader users.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are announced.
- Status is stated in words as well as colour.
- Animation is minimal and respects the reduced motion setting on your device.
